I just thought that La Rochelle were prepared to give it all. Leinster looked like they were trying to tip toe over the line.

I knew we were in trouble yesterday when Torq went all in. Undone by some stupid errors and just lacked physicality at some key stages throughout. Also Ross Byrne shat the actual bed. I think he is alright but everything bad he does he brought to the table
Thought I played the mockers for all they were worth. Just sat in silence and hoped.

That's just stupid. Guy sits there quietly upset knowing if he stayed on they probably would have made it. Fans these days are nobs
Whinging about ref’s decisions in last 10 mins when penalty count against Leinster on their own line was through the roof without a yellow card - that’s just bollocks so fuck off

I was listening to the game on the radio as I wasn't near a TV, Matt Dawson said that a couple of Sexton challenged should have been looked at but weren't?

Can’t comment tbh. I was partly focusing on the game and partly on my Cab Sauv. And IPA.

Flaps and Toga are acting the complete twat on the other place as well.
I get the whole neutral wanting the underdog to win, and by all means celebrate it (I have myself in the past), but there's no bigger cunt than the neutral bad winner!

This is very true. I think I actually created a “congrats neutrals” thread once.

Nah. He was consistently smashed backwards whilst being too upright, but no foul play.
I’ve got a huge amount of begrudging respect for Irish rugby but I do find it fairly dull and cynical so not disappointed with the result

This pretty much ends the other running argument on here. I still think Leinster is the best side in Europe: they had an off-ish day and also the game was effectively an away one. They would be always challenging for the T14 (with this squad). But the rest of the URC? Outside of Munster and Ulster (who would not get close to actually winning it), the rest would be in pieces at the end of the season.
Also, LaR got lucky. TKB would have started were it not for injury, and he would have killed any momentum LaR generated.

Physically you might be right in these one offs but they would adapt
Agree. But that's been my point all along. T14 is 26 of these before even getting to the play offs. Most of it is ugly, turgid sh*te as a consequence but there are few pushovers when sides actually try.

We aren't dull or cynical as in Irieland or Leinster. We have been at times but not currently. Keep up for fucks sake. Out penalty counts are some of the lowest in world rugby. La Rochelle cheated like cunts today but look that is fine but you don't then say the other team are cynical. It's wrong
The whole last 10 minutes was LaR with just the one out bosh (which only finally worked out for them by accident) - dull as dishwater and I hated it when we used to do it under St. Joe. But LaR also played the better rugby before that so don't begrudge them a thing. Deserved winners - plus its always good to have a new winner of the comp

Deserved victory for LAR. They were agressive and the forwards won it for them. Say what you want about the T14 but it prepares teams for important games.

Richards: We turn up on the day and the game kicks off and, like all Irish teams, Munster don't play particularly clean – and by 'clean', I mean that, in those days, you could lie on the wrong side. They were getting away with murder.
Plus ca change.
