Not a great spectacle, but Waikato will be happy to squeak the win.
Absolutely but it was great to see Jack Goodhue out there again.
Now for the big match.

NZ U20s captain George Bell on early for his debut, replacing McAllister. Very promising player.

Apart from handing over that intercept.
He should have seen him a mile away, and couldn’t have passed it to him in a nicer way.

Very convincing win by the good guys. I love that they just do the basics very well, excellent set pieces, strong and organized defense, especially against oppo line out mauls, and great support on attack.

What an outstanding second half by Canterbury to keep the Capitalists scoreless - just brilliant on attack and defence.

As a contest, the 2nd half was a bit disappointing, especially after the Tasman-Otago match. Another dominant performance by Jager though once he came on — pretty sad when the ABs are playing overseas and NZ's best THP is still in the country. Going forward, Canterbury will be sweating on the fitness of McAlister (in particular) and Gallagher.

Another good few games this weekend fellas, Counties-Waikato should be good.I will go to Naki-Canterbury Saturday, and think perhaps Harbour-Tasman on Sunday will be worth a peek.
I do love this comp!

Well that was f**king dumb decision of the season so far by Magpies. Kick the ball away when playing against 14, time in the red and you need 5 to tie.
