Given that this is a home game for the Clan, why are they wearing red jerseys?

I joined just after the second half started and the thought the blue the Highlanders were wearing was a bit different to normal.
It used to be the case that the home side would wear the change jersey, I guess it's all about sales now.

Anyone else steaming?
Dunno if it’s my connection but it keeps just dropping out every few minutes.

I'm watching via my Virgin media stream and it's fine.
I usually like Justin Marshall on comms but he's very wrong about that not being a card.

You are right and I was wrong. Home team wears the change jersey so this is fine.

Justin Marshall hasn’t displayed much understanding of the Laws the game is played under as a commentator. He’s a mouthy goose.

There was a tackle that you used to see in rugby, usually the smaller guy on a big guy where they'd use the big guy's momentum in a judo style. You tackle them head on and fall backwards, turning them on to your side as you go.
That is what the tackler can do in that situation, Justin, it would avoid head on head contact.

All that pointless pissing around over an uncontested scrum at the end of the game is one of the big downsides of modern day rugby.

As disappointing as they’ve been for a lot of this season you still have to love the Clan and their team spirit.

The match stats there show how meaningless territory and possession can be, it was 49/50 for both.

They've been improving of late. Gilbert played well at 10 tonight, a couple of late missed touch-finders aside, and looks to be a much better bet than Hunt for mine.
Fakatava was very good again.

Yeah, agree on that. I didn't see the whole game but Gilbert looked very assured.
ahhhh... apparently Mikaele Tu'u was a stand out. No love?

He's always been good on attack, but I'm not at all confident his defence is up to test standard.

The ball is not going to his wing at all but neither wing has been heard much of, apart from the Reece try.

Matera is a beast… Havili is really strong in contact. Nice little offload over the top there for Jordan to stroll in.
Hall’s been surprisingly good tonight.

Matera has hit peak form in the last three games after a slow start in red.
