How did you end up in (possibly) Japan? It's been on my "places to go" list for far too long.

I came here in search of wine, women and song.

Or at least, sake, geisha girls and karaoke.

Many years ago, I was going to sail to NZ and Oz but the great divorce happened and my lovely yacht "Mimosa" had to go.

I completely re-wired the French electrics while she was off the water. Plus putting in sonar, radar and other gadgets.

She got me across the Atlantic and back twice. <sniff>

Sorry to hear of the loss of your boat. But you must still have a lot of wonderful memories.

To be honest sailing the Atlantic is incredibly boring. I used to have a commercial licence and could take sailors who wanted the sea miles.

Now. If you wanted to go to the British Virgin Islands, I don't need charts. Met Mr Bransom and his wife and family on Anegeda.
