Somehow I missed this yesterday. One of the all-time great jazz piano/keyboard players. From his work with Miles, through to Return to Forever, The Elektric and Akoustic bands and his solo concerts, he influenced generations of musicians (including myself)

Became a bit of a religious nutjob as he got older but his music remained spectacular
