That's sad. I knew she was ill. Didn't realise how bad it was.

She was a lot of fun and a hell of a driver.

Shockingly sad. She always seemed so full of life and fun. Really enjoyed her many appearances on Top Gear and had always hoped she'd become a full member of the team.

Very sad news indeed - RIP Sabine.

Well that is sh*t news. Had no idea she was unwell.

Along with Michelle (Mouton), made huge impacts into a world dominated and controlled by men.

Great vid. Was that a mixed class? She melted past some of them so easily it was like they were in a different race.

I'm no expert but it looked to me like a couple of them were going the wrong way.

Very sad news, RIP.

What the hell!? That's a shocker and so sad!

RIP Sabine ... show 'em other old drivers how to "do it in a van" on the other side.

Haha! She burned past loads of them. Didn't watch the whole thing but she only got overtaken once and took 'em back two corners later anyway.

Worth watching till the end. Pure mastery of the ring, in the wet, overtaking where most people wouldn't dare but with her knowledge of the Nurburgring, a joy to watch..

She is (was) a brilliant driver. Nurburg is a b*st*rd so being a resident driver there would accentuate her ability advantage. A GT3 R is a serious weapon too but only someone of her ability could drive it that quick at all, let alone in the wet. I tried one in pouring rain at Silverstone a few years back: it really was undriveable........ which is not advisable for something that cost a few £ hundred grand.

Yeah I've driven a few porkers over the years on track, in the wet theres no warning of the back end letting go..All good until whoa! Why's everyone going the wrong way...She had complete over that car and ragged it..Brilliant drive..

She seemed like fun , lively lass.
The sort of chuck about totty you could have a steak and a can of pimms with.

My memory of her instantly flips to Clarkson being in awe of her, and him saying the word "astonishing" sixteen times.
And then I am thinking about Clarkson.

Hey if you are missing your regular dose of pompous, right wing English supremacism, the old top gear lads have a channel on YouTube called Drivetribe.

Clarkson has a beard now.

A great shame. Attractive, funny and charming. She must have been the greatest German to appear on British television.

Slick tyres in the wet and a driver with no balls to protect. But as you say, mixed class, surely.
