Heating up in the Donbass?

A lot of talk recently about this. The US has been more active in Ukraine, and in response Russia have moved more troops and equipment into the Donbass and Crimea to strengthen their defences.

I know someone in the OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine, I gather that they are quite busy at the moment.
