This from HRH Jake on PR:
Champions Cup Team of the Tournament

2 Julien Marchand (Toulouse): Despite missing the final due to suspension, Marchand is the complete footballer, with a peerless set-piece and some serious gas in the loose. Paul Boudehent was in the middle of a massive La Rochelle scrummaging effort, whilst Peato Mauvuka deputised well for Marchand and deserves a shout out for his solid display in the final.
I'll leave you to spot the error.

Boudehent is a flanker (not even an 8 so not in the middle by any viewpoint). One assumes he meant Pierre Bourgarit. A case of PMt?

I'd say there's more of an issue with the line that starts "Despite missing the final due to suspension..." and then talking about him being the "complete footballer". His suspension should have nothing to do with his abilities. Say something like "Due to suspension, his presence will be sorely missed, because Marchand is the complete footballer."

Bit of an aside but I read today in a local newspaper that a council leader had "formerly resigned" - they meant "formally" of course. Makes my blood boil, truly it does...

I have no doubt it will happen some day, and then I shall be truly incandescent with rage.

As someone who doesn't have the best grammar at times, and yet who was qualified to teach English, I sometimes notice newcomers whose command of the language is better because, I think, they've been trained properly. Grammar education where I grew up was virtually non-existent (except for Gr. 11 when my English-born teacher got so fed up with us that he added some in periodically!)

Anyway, I think that was the reason this Asian-owned grocery store in Victoria has this sign, whereas all the big domestic chains use 'or less'. I can honestly say I've never seen that before here, so of course snapped a picture.
