Anyone watch it? Just did..
Feel like I have been bombarded with all the current Tory rightwing tropes.
Like I have had three years of the Sun Newspaper and the Daily Mail pulped and shot into my veins.
So, am I supposed to have some pavlovian reaction when anyone mentions
Greta Thunburg.
Wokeism.
Socialism.
Envirionmentalists.
Millenials.
?
The list of just utter toxic bullshit messaging..
Ranging from working class people (no matter how highly skilled) are just thick as mince as they don't read.
British people don't want to work.
Any government beurocracy is terrible, destructive and pointless.
Wealthy wives and girlfriends are not idle, they are fucking epic, and run shops un'stuff.
And finally as there is no money in farming, no matter how hard you work, let's just turn Britain into a theme park that Jessa and his mates can just drive around on in their V8 Bentleys.
I have long said that there is no conservative ideology anymore, they cannot just come straight out and say "we want to destroy everything generations of Brits have invested in and sell it to our mates, as we think there is a taxcut in it for us, somewhere, and then we're off".
Conservatism then is alll about owning the libs.
Conservatives ultimately are just greedy selfish, destructive hateful fuckers, terrified of being taxed until they have to flee the country,
But even they would have taken aback just by how unhinged that fucker is.
He wanted desperately to be challenged to be told off, he was continuously looking for it, from his girlfriend, his advisor, sheep hands, a 21 year old kid.
Kept thinking Thatcher was the same.
As Tam Dayell wrote in his biography about her, that She loved resistance (any resistance) because she was never loved and hugged as a child, and left to scream and cry in her cot as a baby and so sought it (resistance, in place of hugs) just by pissing people off, and Jessa, the unhinged twat, is exactly the same..he just needs a hug bless him.

Probably only ever on 8 April 2013

I’m struggling to see what relevance this regurgitated hysteria has to do with Clarksons Farm. That association is gone by the second line and then you have several paragraphs of rinse and repeat refry.

The home of Monbiased was always going to hate this.
It could have been the second coming of Jesus/Mother Theresa/the best ever tv series and the Grauniad would have loathed it.

Farming forums seem to think he actually did OK
Watching it now. Massive fish out of water, but despite the Top Gear laddish side to it, he looks like he's genuinely making a real attempt at it

I haven't seen it, so I feel qualified to comment.
From what I can gather, Clarkson owns farm land in the Cotswolds, his previous manager left and now Clarkson is making a tv show for Amazon about being a farmer with no experience.
Is that about right?
He should have hired another manager, but it wouldn't have gained/extended a contract from Amazon Prime if he'd done the sensible thing, I guess, and now he can fart about on farm machinery, which is actually really dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.

Really enjoyed it so far. Recommended.
Caleb is so familiarly simple and amusing.
And that (is it Charlie) doom and gloom guy is also an excellent character. Hard to believe if real.

He has a land agent to advise him. Sure there’s a bit of slapstick with sheep escaping and so on but basically it’s a reasonably serious programme about large-scale farming.

I suppose it would be wrong of me to point out that the Guardian has two pieces on this, and the second one is written by someone who liked it

Or do you mean which narrative? The one where the Guardian dismisses something out of hand because of the person / their politics.
Well, to be fair, the narrative exists as evidenced in the title by the journalist them self.
“ I hate to admit it, but Jeremy Clarkson’s farming show is really good TV”
If the narrative was the truth then he'd be dismissing it out of hand. Turns out, he's able to acknowledge that despite Clarkson being an utter cunt, it was good TV.
"Jeremy Clarkson is a raging fuckhead" isn't the narrative - that's just a fact.

Always quite like his "meeting the neighbours" programme.
It pulled the piss out of him as much as it did quaint continental habits.

Yep, a fact especially to Guardian types.
He is a cvnt which is his IP, having said that. But his act only surely winds up a couple of simple lefties in to hatred??

Was it an act when he punched a colleague in in the face over a lack of lunch and got the sack?
He might play it up but he's still a cunt, you'd have to be painfully naive to believe otherwise. And weirdly despite someone at the Guardian giving the show a positive review this is somehow all about the left
