They have - hence the coordination. Thought their coverage was excellent for the ANC last year.

Springboks coming home for two weeks.

SARugbymag

The Springboks may not head off on their end-of-year tour if they have to be subjected to another strict bio-bubble environment once again.

The Bok squad has been in some form of ‘bubble’ life since June, with the players not spending any meaningful time at home for the better part of four months.

The Springboks are heading home now after finishing the Rugby Championship on Saturday, but are soon set to head to France for an end-of-year tour preparation camp, as well as promotional media events for the 2023 Rugby World Cup

On the UK tour, the Boks are set to face Wales on 6 November, Scotland seven days later and England on 20 November and would have had to isolate for 10 days on arrival if they had travelled directly as South Africa is on the British government’s ‘red list’ of countries.

However, it’s hoped that South Africa will soon be removed from the ‘red list’, and that could lift the restrictions on SA players who have been subjected to such extended periods restricted to their hotels, an inordinate amount of Covid-19 tests, and very limited movement.

According to information also reported by Rapport, SA Rugby is determined to ensure players are not subjected to another strict bio-bubble environment.

It is hoped that a solution can be found with the British government, but SA Rugby president Mark Alexander was emphatic when stating that players could not be put through another set of strict restrictions.

“Another strict bio-bubble is out of the question, it will break the players,” Alexander told Die Burger.

Would have been great if we could played France. They look like the team to beat in future.

Nah not me. I know as soon as the Bok supporters (reading and believing Keo) start bragging about nr1 and World Champions and kak like that, a hiding is on its way.

NZ v Wales, Italy, Ireland and France.....

Erm.......I can see us coming away with 2 maybe 3 losses if the last 2 games have been anything to go by. Wales, Ireland and France should be pretty confident.

Scotland must be gutted they don't get to have a crack at a 'not particularly great' AB's side.

Not officially. But there's a bit of a clearout happening - don't know how many are really gone but it could be all of these:

Mako Vunipola
Jamie George
Dan Cole [this one is definite, he was gone after the world cup]
Billy Vunipola
George Ford
Elliot Daly

as none of them have made the current training squad, plus a change in the coaches working with Eddie Jones.

Not many? It's a big change to the entire spine of the team - likely to have a new hooker, new number 8, new flyhalf, new fullback...

Wales are going to be destroyed over these games.
Hold on to your boots for a lions hangover humiliation season.
On top of which we will have to pay twice to watch it.
A TV license to watch all live broadcasts in the UK, and Amazon prime.
Worked it out, it will cost 42 quid a match, to watch it legally on Amazon on the day, if you are a rare breed and only watch international rugby on tele (like me).

Amazon just came out and created their own Welsh language pundits, so we cannot even watch it on S4c (who used to get all the great games, on the back of a technicality, as they were a non English language broadcaster).

Not sure how hard the BBC goon squad will track you down if you get a Amazon Prime trial and just watch it anyway, and If they have access to Amazon servers and can tell who watched it without a TV license, investigating it after the event.

But we live in a shitty hateful, miserable, mean little country, with Nadine Dorries as culture secretary, so it would be reasonable to assume they will..

Not following your maths refry..

Amazon prime is £8 per month, first month free. So you could probably get it all free. The rest is on channel 4, Irish games which is also free.

So the most you would pay is £8, if you need 2 months of prime. Divided by number of games is very low cost per game.

Though you could get the lot free if sign up 30th October for 30 days (and cancel) covers you til 20th November - week 4.

It has zero to do with bbc licensing which you don’t need.

We should have won last time out at home, but for Reads cheating

I should qualify this by saying that Neil Backs hand in the scrum is one of my all time rugby highlights, so can't complain that much when it happens to us.

With Youngs throwing ponderous pies above his head, Farrell running slow, easily defended lines outside him & orders to kick the shit out of the ball or he's off?

He's going to be wasted by England. I am almost sure of it.

Yeah, this. He's too good for Eddie to not look at him, but Eddie is wedded to two lead weights either side of the 10.
