I remember playing football against a school that’d park a few in the endzone, rev them up and honk horns after every touchdown.

Yup. There is also the annual tractor run where every local farmer gets his tractor shining and set off to annoy the tourists by having 50 to 60 tractors touring the locality. A good few have their working and hobby tractors that are kept for shows and events such as these. Usually old models that have been lovingly restored.
