I am surprised this topic is getting so interest on hear. Single most important thing in all our lives and most people seem content with Twitter pile-ons of at best dubious subjects.

No wonder the world is burning/drowning (delete as appropriate).

Because of the existentialism of it. People don't want to consider that life is soon going to be unrecognisable or refuse to believe it could be.

It's also doesn't represent any kind of change in how people view the governments' approaches to climate change

We already knew that major reports were having to be watered down, especially the last few IPCC reports.

As long as they have Facebook, McDonalds and Netflix, what could possibly go wrong?
