I tend to tune out this time of year as I can't stand pop Christmas songs (and spare a thought for poor shop staff who have to listen to them on repeat for a whole month). What are some 'gems', one way or or the other?
I just stumbled upon this and can't believe I've never heard it before! Maybe it's the sort of thing that would get Bryan and Peewee cancelled these days?

Deck the Halls, for a group session
In Dulce Jubilo, first verse standard then switch to something close to the Mike Oldfield arrangement, solo of my choice

That cacophony Cliff Richard inflicted on the world in the late 80s
It's a cover version, never heard the original but refuse to believe it could be anywhere near this bad.

Mistletoe and wine? I dont find that one so bad, but perhaps that's because it doesnt get played to death as much as some others do

Always love ‘Driving home for Christmas’, Chris Rea. Reminds me of leaving the last meetings near Christmas from some far north area when my daughter was a bab.

It is an old memory but I think that was written by a bloke that I used to know vaguely (friend of a friend) called Chris something who wrote it as a bit of cheese with his tongue partly in his cheek and was absolutely astonished when it was as successful as it was. In fairness, Chris had sold stuff to Cliff before.

You are a Globus multi and I claim my £10
I'm deeply hurt and insulted , didn't claim it would be any good I'm already pretty sick of both tunes
Likes would be good choral versions of Silent Night and Hark the Herald Angels Sing. Fairy Tale of New York and Wizard's I Wish it Could be Christmas Every Day.
Dislike - how long have you got

During a drive from Brighton to Edinburgh a good few Christmases ago this came on the radio several times, the kids were all singing along in the back, I love it despite myself, a guilty pleasure if ever there was one

The Slade one makes me want to slit my wrists.
Never heard this before! I kinda like it.
But I unashamedly love this 80s new wave song, so…
Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” is horrible to me.

Everybody step back, the only Christmas song worth listening to has arrived.
