His voice was the soundtrack of my childhood. A sad reminder of the inevitable march of time when (another) great musician from that era dies.

So many great songs to choose from, but Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through is undoubtedly my favourite.

When I first saw The Commitments, I was sure that Meatloaf was the singer Deco but was disappointed to find out it was someone entirely different.
