Don't like the title. It will bring us bad luck. Sounds like the Italians will enjoy their pasta with frog legs.
I can already see what this game will be about. A French team coming out of a very intense camp with a view to be at their best in 7 weeks, playing sluggishly against fired up Italians. With the Toulousain not in great shape for various reasons, i can see this game as a frustrating game again. We may get the 4 tries we need to take away 5 points but France will not look like the team that blew the All Black away. More like the team that played Georgia in my opinion.
To be honest I did find a recipe ....sturginho wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:31 amAlmost as much as pineapple on pizzaTheFrog wrote: Tue Feb 01, 2022 12:52 pm Merci Laurent.

I've not seen it, but I know that Italians do like to eat the snails which is also something that gets associated with France, so maybe.laurent wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:44 amTo be honest I did find a recipe ....sturginho wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:31 amAlmost as much as pineapple on pizzaTheFrog wrote: Tue Feb 01, 2022 12:52 pm Merci Laurent.

frog legs are nice but like a lot of white meat require garlic to be nice
I don't believe Italians are adverse to it.

It's a very inexperienced Ita side which will be at a bigger disadvantage at the start of the comp. Normally I'd be worried about the half back pairings but truth is, it won't matter who is at 9 or 10 because the forwards will far too strong for Ita.TheFrog wrote: Tue Feb 01, 2022 12:52 pm Merci Laurent.

My 5 year old son is obsessed with snails after trying them last year and won't stop talking about trying frogs legs when we are over this summer.

Danty-Fickou and Penaud will be the saving grace for France, as our lock pairing. Less confident about our front row and back row, well out of shape, except for Atonio and Bamba may be, and Aldritt.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 2:01 pmIt's a very inexperienced Ita side which will be at a bigger disadvantage at the start of the comp. Not a hard jump from tripoux to tripe..... Really didn't need looking up!

Many years ago we were travelling through France with friends and stopped for lunch at a local restaurant and Mrs Lobby, having decided she would try something new, asked for tripoux. The waiter looked rather surprised and explained in somewhat broken English that she had just ordered "er ... what you call in English.... er ... trip ... er ... tripe". "Oh Christ" she said, and quickly chose something else.
Should I be worried that the chef doesnt suggest anything?Marylandolorian wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 6:28 pmMade the mistake to look at the menu, I could eat there for a week lunch and dinner .TheFrog wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 6:11 pm Was in Toulouse couple weeks ago and enjoyed delicious snails and ris de veau at Le Bibent. Wonderful.
My son had the pigeon farci au foie gras.
Love French food.

You know what’s the Robuchon mush potato ( same amount of butter and potatoes)
It’s tripe with loads of other awful shit added. If I hadn’t looked it up and accepted it as just plain old tripe I would never have understood quite how barbaric the French areTorquemada 1420 wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 5:53 pmNot a hard jump from tripoux to tripe..... Really didn't need looking up!

It has sweetbreads in it, they are nice when they are fried. Certainly no worse than the contents of a haggis.Slick wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 6:43 pmIt’s tripe with loads of other awful shit added. Yes. But unless you love tripe, you didn't need to delve further!Slick wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 6:43 pmIt’s tripe with loads of other awful shit added. They have a daily chef menu depending on the market.sturginho wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 6:36 pmShould I be worried that the chef doesnt suggest anything?Marylandolorian wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 6:28 pmMade the mistake to look at the menu, I could eat there for a week lunch and dinner .TheFrog wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 6:11 pm Was in Toulouse couple weeks ago and enjoyed delicious snails and ris de veau at Le Bibent. What about Tête de veau?Plim wrote: Thu Feb 03, 2022 6:49 pm France shade the culinary head-to-head. A last gasp break by Tripoux, finished in the corner by Andouillette and converted by Boudin Noir.
As for the rugby, I’m afraid I think France will put 60-70 on Italy, with a couple of Italian tries late on.
Tête de Veau went off after a nasty head clash with Casu Frazigu.TheFrog wrote: Fri Feb 04, 2022 1:19 amWhat about Tête de veau?Plim wrote: Thu Feb 03, 2022 6:49 pm France shade the culinary head-to-head. And I doubt the margin will be that large. The French will not be at their best against Italy, this is guaranteed. They are treating this game as the last touch to their training plan before Ireland, and will come in with heavy legs from their conditioning with the Foreign Legion.
