Well you might have lost your glasses, but found loads of your painkillers.

I cannot find mine but I have found the good lady's. I wonder when she realised that she has gone to work with my glasses?

Well I have slipped my wife's glasses on a couple of time NZer. Then wondered why things weren't quite right, hell they don't even fit me properly!

If you wear your wife’s glasses for any length of time you get a much greater ability to see all the things you haven’t done yet and with the things you have done how you could have done them so much better if only you had tried harder.

Varifocals transformed my life, being able to wear the same pair all day. No more “Have you seen my glasses?” being greeted by Ms GL’s withering scorn.

The silly bugger drove to work, did 2 hours and felt funny so drove home.

Then when I asked about the glasses she realised why she felt all giddy.

Silly bugger. I keep telling her to retire but I think she doesn't want to be bored all day

Having a pair on my head then picking up another pair to read, thus having 2 pairs on, is a new phenomenon that is delighting the kids.

Really? I'm genuinely thinking of getting rid of mine as I don't need them to read

The optician insisted I'd need them, but I put my (old prescription) single lenses on the other day and I think I'd prefer to go back to that

I’ve needed readers for decades and a few years ago I realised that the whole world was a bit of a blur. I was constantly swapping from one set to another, which was a real pain.

If I am doing a lot of computer work I wear "interview" glasses which are good to about 2 metres.

Otherwise I am a full on graduated lens man apart from when the good lady wears them - wouldn't change for quids.
