Only rugbyist in the Honours List. On reflection perhaps it should be in things that don’t deserve their own thread.

Those of the rugby fraternity turned down honours in secret, as they decided that they the English Royal Family doesn't represent Wales or its people at all, and in fact actively represses them, and that Rugby and its 12 days of pretendy patriotism and nationalism a year, where the sport co opts our nations history and culture, does more harm than good and acts as a misdirection of our patriotism and need for an independent Wales.

Believe it or not even Eddie Butler agrees with me on this.

With all due respect to Brynmor - he got it for services to rugby and charity and I’ve no idea what he’s done after rugby - I was surprised to see his name there ahead of others.
Actually I was more surprised that he’s the only person associated with rugby from wherever that was honoured

When I worked out of Pontypridd in the 70's he was playing for Cardiff and was a local building society manager. Think he retired in the early 80's after playing RL for the Cardiff Dragons

That's why shed loads of them have street parties to celebrate various jubilees and milestones of the years.
