Do the Boks and All Blacks miss Super Rugby more than we thought?

Just that really.
Their performance seems to have slipped since South Africa left Super Rugby.
I wonder if the Boks and All Blacks are suffering due to not playing each other at a club level recently?
If so what is the solution?

They don't want us but we moved on. Best solution will be mini tours with a mid week match for starters. 3 test series will be perfect.

I think it is to do with the NZ club teams not facing the RSA club teams style for Rugby and vice versa making them both weaker.

Yes, yes that’s it!
2 seasons of not playing each other has destroyed both nations. FFS

Well I said when people taked about Saffas being out it would weaken our rugby, and when it happened and I said it again, on one forum I was rubbished.
I think we are hurting badly, our players are getting their experince from play Aussies, and it shows!!

Alright...
explain to me then how similar Ireland are to the Springboks and why that means they've managed to beat the ABs 4 times from their last 7 games going back to 2016.

FFS you lost 1 game and already the world is ending. Imagine if you were England?

OP isn't a Kiwi...
and we've got a few Saffa types who can't seem to get over the fact they decided to bail out of Super Rugby and are still trying to make out the big mean Kiwis did it to them, so they're desperate to assert relevancy whenever they get s sniff.

We both wear green jerseys and we both play in the URC.

We didn't bait out. Robinson cut us out.

It's not all Saffers. I miss giving the Kiwis a good go. Those that advocated for change were getting hidings week in and week out and preferred moving to an easier tournament

Well, our problem is nothing to do with playing the Saffers or not. It’s purely linked to our coaching.
#fosterout is actually trending on Twitter.

At least you have Foster who has actually coached a rugby team.
We have Nienaber who was the physio, then the defense coach...........................................

In my heart I would love to see the Bulls, Lions, Sharks and Stormers back in Super Rugby, Nothing better than a RSA v NZ club match.

Soup rugby died for the players and supporters.
The URC is much better for our players and supporters.
SARU will reap the rewards thanks to NZRU.

The point being made is that they are no longer playing at a club / regional basis. It’s not to do with internationals.
You might want to note that the Irish now play the South Africans at provincial level. Which actually backs the OP up further.

It’s a miraculous improvement over two seasons, don’t you think.

Not really, Ireland were very good before, two years of playing better opposition would have a benefit in that time that might be enough of a marginal gain. Add that to the marginal loss to New Zealand and it could well be a significant factor.

Nah…
The ABs have been tottering along flattering to deceive for a few years now. Some of us here and on PR have been highly critical of the tactics being used and the inconsistent selection policy.
This apparently ‘sudden’ loss of playing power and standards has been years in the making and now that several of their opponents have done the opposite and lifted their standard the inevitable is ocurring.
This has bugger all to do with the wishful and wistful thinking of the Saffas who want to see themselves as some sort of indispensable loss to the SH after years of poor performance and bellowing threats to move north and everything to do with the drop in standards within the All Black camp.

It's not the Saffers that think so. It's the NZ players and coaches.
Even Smileys Crusaders hero
South Africa, they play a certain style,” the All Blacks star said on Rugby Pass, in response to the absence of SA franchises in Super Rugby.
“They’ve got big, strong guys, that’s their strength, that’s the way they like to play. It is something that I do personally enjoy having in the Super Rugby environment because they’re hard to play against.
“Going over there travelling, it’s an awesome place to travel to, but, also, it’s very hard to play there.
“It’s something that I’ve been lucky enough to have in my career so far, and hopefully we can get back at some stage, whether that carries on as Rugby Championship or Super Rugby.”
Blaming the coach is easier.

The Saffers moved on. There are a lot of links for NZ missing SA franchises. I don't see any links of our coaches and players missing Soup Rugby. Maybe a few older players and Sards.

Well, in addition to the round robin games in Ireland between the provinces, they also had, in Leinster’s and Munster’s case, three games against English opposition and four against French opposition, plus their games against Scottish and Welsh sides. Rather than the kiwis just playing amongst themselves and against five games against Aussie teams (in which they had a whack of poor results). South Africa are playing regular games vs Irish Provinces as well as Scottish and Welsh teams and as of this year will be playing at least four, and possibly six or seven, games vs English and French opposition.
