I think he is hoping to pick it up in the afterlife along with his virgins et al….

Indeed. If the perp gets prosecuted as a terrorist then he spends the rest of his life in a supermax on his own for 23/24 hours a day.

I obviously knew about the guy, but never followed the details.

But what specifically in his book pissed of the Muslims.

Something presumably about big Mo.

Stabbed 15 times, and in the neck.
Author Sir Salman Rushdie, who has faced death threats for his novel The Satanic Verses, has been stabbed "up to 15 times", including in the neck, while on stage at an event in New York state.

The Indian-born British author has been airlifted to hospital but his condition is not yet known. His agent said he is undergoing surgery.

Can't be arsed to check but IIRC, the name of the character chosen by Rushdie as a his fictional prophet was a derogatory term for Allahhhhhhhh.

I don’t remember specifics but I do remember starting the book and fully expecting nothing in it but finishing and thinking it was a bit shitty. Not stab someone 15 times shitty of course, but some of it seemed a bit over the top

Death threat to JK Rowling on Twitter, who said nothing remotely inflammatory

“You’re next” was the response

After another of his tweets praising the Islamic stabby guy, and the fatwa.

Kerrist, if that was his motivation, someone needs to tell Jake to hide now.
