There's apparently some sort of world cup happening Oop North, anybody watching?

Fiji have just scored against the Kangaroos

Fiji scoring first is quite funny. We'll enjoy the few minutes of the kangaroos being behind before they inevitably win the entire thing.

I'm always surprised at how robotic and rudimentary the skills in league can look

So you're the reason they rearranged it?

opening ceremony was a disaster apparently, lost power so they had to pretty much ditch it and just start the game

I’ve managed to dodge it until now but getting it quite bad, breathing is getting more laboured each day.

I remember the 1995 Rugby League World Cup. There was so little interest in it that they were unable to attract any of the main broadcasters, and it was shown live on the short-lived Cable only channel, L!VE TV (mainly known for shows such as Topless Darts). The coverage was predictably cheap with most of the games being covered by a one or two camera set up.

Attendance was also dismal, and I’m sure that for a couple of games I saw the teams probably outnumbered the crowds.
