Getting excuses in early... boks will be without Cheslin Kolbe, Andre Esterhuizen, Cobus Reinach, Jasper Wiese, Vincent Koch and Trevor Nyakane. Will England be missing any players?

No, but we will have Jack Nowell, Ben Youngs, Owen Farrell and Billy Vunipola, i think that trumps you.

SA will brutalise Eng who, I suspect, will try and do the same to SA with dire consequences.

It was ever thus. We often play like South Africa lite and it rarely stands up against the real thing.

Nowell and Vunipola were dreadful. Nowell was anonymous except when watching kick passes sail over his head and and Billy V was ineffective and gave away at least two dumb penalties.

I was astonished that Simmonds was the back rower who made way for Willis. There's no good reason it shouldn't have been Vunipola at that point.

We were chasing the game and had stepped up the pace. Clearly the time to take Simmonds off.

England the big favorites on Saturday. The All Blacks gave them a lot of confidence.
Will be interesting to see which pattern both team play.
I'd like to see the Marcus vs Libbok show. Hope they can play attacking rugby.

I doubt that Rassenaber start Libbok. Arrogant as they are, they will start with Willemse at 10, DDA at 12 and Kriel at 13 again, Manie on the bench.

Reigning world champs, against whom England have traditionally struggled, coming to play the 5th ranked team in the world who've recently been beaten at home by Argentina. Boks are red hot favourites. Anything else is mockers bait.

I also think along the same lines. England destroyed the All Blacks in the last 10 minutes. Our best players should be on the bench.

Actually surprised me to find out that it was 2014, although there have only been 3 matches at Twickenham since then and the two most recent were decided by a single point. Both games the Boks were unlucky not to win, with 2018 having the infamous Farrell - Esterhuizen incident and 2021 being the day Pollard forgot his kicking boots.

JVP has been anything but awful until his last match. It's all very odd. Probably spent too much time being coached how to be Ben Youngs by cramping his backs, taking forever at the base, and then putting in mind bogglingly awful/stupid kicks. The intercept was too good a pass though, he still needs some time to learn the full extent of Ben Youngsery.

I'm actually a big fan of JVP, he's definitely a much better player than Saturday. I'm still amazed that Youngs has gotten as many caps as he did, especially with the form Care has been in for the last 3 seasons.
Between him and Freddie Steward, England have two backs who look like they're going to get a lot of caps between them.

He threw a pass off the first set move of the match that he'd practiced all week and was probably just hoping to land and get the side going. He didn't register the 7 coming into the channel and we're 7 points down. Then he gets on the wrong side of a 'ball out' call that was reffed very differently to what he's used to. Then you're a young lad, in your second start for your country against the most famous team in the world with all your friends and family there. Oh, and we're losing and losing badly. It's easy to see how one thing led to another without it really revealing much about his game.

I don't think that it helped that the ball.took an age to get to him off the line-out, which had also gone past the 15m line, giving the 7 that extra bit of time.
Should have read the situation better, though.
