Congrats Wales for thickest performance of the year

Just seen this. For the record, I had Wales to win by 5.

To follow on from Hennessey and Price in other sports, you have Kieren Hardy to crown the week.

1) You are a moment from 1/2 time against 14 men who have been folding under physical pressure all the 1/2 and you are 1m from the tryline with a scrum and the oppos facing a 2nd yellow. Do you
a) Try and drive over with the scrum and maybe get at least a pen and the 2nd yellow?
b) Go wide to exploit the gaps?
c) Use your fwd dominance to take you over?
d) Pass the ball to your smallest player so he can try and crash over feebly and give up a turnover for held up?

2) Having f**ked that up, on 64 odd mins, faced with a similar position, the obvious thing to do is give Hardy a 2nd opportunity to f**k it up in the same way, right? And then follow that up with successive howlers
- Priestland passing an intercept try pass (should have been a pen try)
- and then Tipuric with a cheap, nasty trip (should have been red)

3) Hawkins deciding not to kick the ball out when he had the chance to heap on the pressure.

4) Elias

5) And then to cap the worst individual performance of the AIs, Hardy does a deliberate knock on at the end which would have been a pen try and another yellow were it nor for the fortunate rebound gifting Aus the try and the game anyway.

Good luck at the RWC when Aus hasn't got 20 injured or unavailable players.

Is Fozzie gone yet ?

Is Toonie gone yet ?

I can't remember so many coaches under imminent threat, with less than a year to go till the main event.

What good is that going to do them?
Their players are either on the slide from greatness or shit

It will make a massive difference.
Bringing off AWJ and Toby yesterday was retarded.
Tips is not a leader either. Gats will make a big difference.
The Pivacaust makes the Gypppcaust look like a Golden era.

For one, it would appease the Welsh rugby-following public that pay the WRU's wages and running costs.

A new coach in now would probably claw back interest for the 6N to see how the new regime will look. If they keep Pivac they might get lucky and fill the MS as they have England and us at home, and there'd be enough travelling fans to paper over the cracks. But if they had France or Italy at home it would be a stretch if nothing changes.

Toony is safe as houses. If we had lost all of our games, or all except Fiji, then he might have been under pressure. But we ended up with a narrow loss to Australia (with no players based outside Scotland), a narrow loss to NZ (painfully close to a win), an uninspiring win v Fiji and a more impressive win v a depleted Argentina. That won’t come close to making the SRU consider a change of coach.

Please note that this isn’t a good thing. Most of us feel Toony has taken us as far as he can. He has no idea how to beat Ireland or SA, so we’re now waiting to bomb out of our RWC group before the SRU lets someone else have a shot.

You needed the luck of Eddie and an easy pool draw.

Was never going to happen. We were unpopular with World Rugby due to the threat of legal action over the game that nearly coincided with the typhoon, and they weren’t going to do us any favours.

Why they did the seedings for the pools quite so far away from the RWC is a matter of opinion, but whatever the reason, it was done when Scotland were lying 9th in the rankings and therefore guaranteed 2 hard teams in our group. The fact that they were the worst ones possible from our perspective was an added bonus.

The seedings are a farce this time around for sure.

Nobody said otherwise. We won’t get out of our group and we’re resigned to it.

As for the Scots pool. You have the enviable chance to stop Ireland from even making the quarterfinals, let alone the semis.

If that happens, I might have to re register with PR to watch the swarm meltdown.
