No, not the political party of choice, neither an ideologically driven policy platform...
the album. New Order's second album and a genuine living treasure turned 40 this week. Yesterday, my time apparently.
It's a seriously good record although I was never all that rapt with the second track, We All Stand. The rest of it though, is a belter. 40 years ago I'd slip the cassette into the Alpine deck and let those massive 20W speakers in the back rattle everything in range. I played it constantly.

You talking of the version with Blue Monday on it?

No... the original album didn't have Blue Monday on it. It was a belter without that heavyweight.

One of my favourite albums of all time
Stephen Morris and Peter Hook were an astonishingly good rhythm section

Hooky's books about his time in Joy Division and New Order are well worth a read SaintK. Haven't read Stephen Morris' one yet.

Oddly, that's where I am too.
Had to drop out of Hook & Light at Reading recently.

It's also depressing. Hacienda was iconic and should have been listed. Now it's friggin' flats.
