A BBC presenter has been accused of paying a teenager for sexually explicit photographs, beginning when they were 17, according to The Sun.
The newspaper reported that the unnamed male presenter had paid the alleged victim tens of thousands of pounds.

Which presnter hasn't been around for the last few weeks?

Yeah, it was speculation on twitter apparently that prompted Rylan Clarke to put a statement out saying it wasn’t him. Most of the speculation I’ve seen on social media (and it’s been hard to avoid, tbh) thinks the young person involved is a guy. Impossible to know if that’s right or not, ofc.

Oh, The Sun says they've seen bank details? That makes all the difference if its The Sun. They're trustworthy, the journalist on The Sun, obviously. Not hypocrites or anything who'll print any old guff. They wouldn't do that at The Sun.

It's not like they paid for nude pics of a 16 year old and print them on page 3. And they didn't have a countdown clock for when Charlotte Church and Billie Piper turned sixteen so they'd be legal.

Could be bullshit but the BBC was at least till recently full of nonces, and it does have a history of protecting them so chances are pretty good this story has some substance to it, imo.

It’s an offence to possess indecent images of someone under the age of eighteen in the UK (and the law specifies that people under eighteen age can’t consent to images being taken). The original story said the first images were sent when the person was seventeen, so….

It’s covered by the children’s protection act.
