You just outplayed us to the interpretations on the day.
After the 43rd penalty and 5th yellow card against us I thought we still had a shot. But we choked.
Barnes wife and children have been safely returned I understand.
Well deserved Boets !!
Congrats Saffers - 4th RWC !!

To be honest most Saffers can stand losing to the All Blacks if we lose.. maybe the rivalry.
Completely defeatist ... oh wait .... Barnes ... ABs rooted.

They were trying to claim they were at risk of losing to Italy earlier in the competition.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 6:23 pm Boet are you on the charge office Coffee? The mockers hate this shite.

Beauden Barrett's score in Paris on Saturday was the first time the Springboks had conceded a try in a World Cup final.
Prior to the 2023 tournament, only five of 66 World Cup knockout fixtures had been settled by a one-point margin (excluding third-place play-offs).
and my favouritePlayer of the match Pieter-Steph du Toit led the way for the Boks with a match-high total of 28 tackles. The back row played more minutes at the World Cup than any other South African forward - 386 out of a possible 560.
...
Deon Fourie, Mbonambi's replacement at hooker, was second on the list with 21.
Second row Franco Mostert attempted 49 tackles in the Springboks' three knockout games and did not miss a single one.

Sous was awesome in this RWC. Etsebeth and Snyman get all the headlines, but he just calmly goes about his job and fucks up the opposition each and every week. I mean, it's pretty decent.... but Hamish Watson went nearly 250 consecutive tackles in the 6N without missing one, so a bit to goInsane_Homer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 2:43 pm Some interesting stats.

Disco will be yer man for this, but Mish went over three years of test rugby without missing a tackle - 353 consecutive tackles.
But has he ever appeared in a RWC quarter final?Tichtheid wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 12:21 pmSlick wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 11:57 amI mean, it's pretty decent.... but Hamish Watson went nearly 250 consecutive tackles in the 6N without missing one, so a bit to goInsane_Homer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 2:43 pm Some interesting stats.

Cape Town Mayor today gave Bongi his jersey
Holy shit
Congrats to the Saffa contingent on a well deserved victory
Unfortunately Barnes ensured the game wasn't the show piece rugby really needs. I have some serious doubts about the success of the next one in Oz; am in a league dominated region, Newcastle, and zero people were talking about or watching the World Cup. We did get Sir Paul know, which is all to the good.
