I was just coming on here to say the same. We had a very tenuous link in that we were both born in the same hospital in Sri Lanka and I think every kid in Scotland must have met him during the sponsored swims he ran. RIP

I met him once, after uni I worked as a courier for a few short months. I delivered a package to his business which was Farnborough/Camberley way. It was pretty surreal tbh because I was not expecting it in the least.
[/globus]
RIP to the man.

He always seemed a pretty cool, powerful dude, but I had no idea he was the son of God.

Nice to know I'm not the only one !
Found out is morning there's another massive RIF happening, & a lot of the remaining people I work with have been let go, so not sure if I'll have a job next week.
On Wilkie, wasn't he another regular on the original Superstars series ??, I loved that show as a kid

Cheers

. It's been well telegraphed, but I know I'm okay; I feel a lot worse for others.
I've one friend who has had some significant health issues the last couple of years, & now he's going to be out of work, & we all know how much healthcare costs in the US, especially if you've an existing condition.
