Bristol Bears have confirmed they’ll play a game at the Principality Stadium next year.

The WRU did not consult with the Welsh regions before giving their permission.

All four Welsh regions are away from home that weekend - that seems an unlikely coincidence if you ask me.

Since everyone is trying to make money out of this fixture - who pays who?

If you were a Brizz season ticket holder, would you want to watch your team at home or travel for an hour each way and cede home advantage to watch your team in Wales?

It's not like Ashton Gate is small or knackered? It's 27k and practically brand new.

Even if they weren't all away in South Africa, why would the WRU need to consult the regions over this? The game would be taking place in a stadium none of the regions routinely use and that the WRU own. None of the regions would be involved in the on field action, so in what way is their input relevant?

If anyone should be annoyed it's Bristol fans missing out on a home game in Bristol.

It's hosting a one off game on a weekend the regions aren't playing in a WRU owned stadium, Bristol aren't moving there.

Maybe I've just been made cynical by certain employment environments, but collaboration and transparency are meaningless buzzwords to me now. Often it seems to mean involving non-impacted parties who slow everything down or simply prevent things from happening due to too many cooks rather than an idea being inherently bad or problematic.
