Hey, I'd love to see Scotland get it and play New Zealand v France in Melrose, but I don't think it'll happen.

Surely Russia will be even bigger pariah on the world stage than they are now.

A Russian bribe would have to be phenomenal to even get them into consideration one would have thought.

World Rugby need the world cup revenue and given where traditional rugby countries are I don't see many travelling to Russia, not in the same way as they did Japan. Nor do I see the Russian population getting behind things as the Japanese did.

This talk of Russian bribes is just anti-russian propaganda. In fact Russia have gone out of their way to offer support and help to World Rugby - even going as far as offering to count the votes. Helpfully, they have also announced the result to save time and money. The Russian bid got 123% of the vote.
