Looking forward to this one tonight. The Pumas are pretty good this year and always play their best game vs France.

They don’t finish dinner until 9 pm local time

We have a bit of problem when people like us on here that follow the game closely have no fucking idea what’s going on.

Well done ref for standing up to the TMO there though

Time to bin the TMO

The Scottish player (Cummings) got a 20 minute red for landing on Mostert's leg when it happened due to the actions of others, part of which was the South African 9 coming back onside from an offside position. Mostert wasn't hurt.
Now we have a guy whose game is finished due to more than what Cummings did, but it's only a yellow.

Last week the Irish prop did an actual croc roll which hurt his opponent - it stayed at yellow.

It's the inconsistency in the officiating that makes fans pissed off

I disagree, I just want them to be consistent and apply the actual laws

The French are doing that Irish thing of rolling out of the back of rucks and slowing it down, but being thanked by the ref

Argentina player uses physics to help him but ref only studies to year 10. :bimbo:

He’s the best ref in the world at the moment

That feels harsh. In isolation, yes it's a tap forward, but he was robbed of any chance to try and control it further because Bielle-Biarray crashed into him.

I think part of the problem is that good and experienced refs like Luke Pierce have the confidence to stand up to the TMO’s, whereas less experienced refs are pulled around by them like we saw in a couple of games last week

Seems a theme of a number of teams now that after a big break the next phase against disorganised defence is always straight up the middle rather than spinning it wide. Cannot work it out at all

Very flat for a game with 39 points at 50 minutes

Teams need to figure out fast that the box kick is going the way of the dodo

I have long been a fan of Fickou, but perhaps it's time for Costes to come into the team. The young guys like Bielle-Biarrey are tearing it up

Seems to be okay for Dupont unless he got charged down early in the match.

Colombe is such an empty shirt. If that's possible being that size.

Dupont crabbing sideways all evening too: poor game by his standards.

That's what having Ramos at 10 does.

It’s not an uncommon problem; you have forwards who work one way, and backs who can do two or three things, and you need to pick an attack, or a defensive style to get everyone sync’s up.

Probably a reaction to defences scrambling to cover wide and hoping to catch them unprepared or offside

Or not wanting to outpace support and get isolated.

Galthier's choice a 15 with a perfect boot at 10 or a fly half (there are a lot of good ones at his time in France).
He chose to antigonise pretty much every flyhalf in the country (Jalibert, Hastoi ...)

now he is left with Ntamack and no backup.

He's not liked because he's got a bit of the Jaliberts about him: he's a bit arrogant.

Fickou and Moefana offer nothing in attack. Arg looked far more dangerous ball in hand.
