It’s genuinely like listening to someone speaking in their second language. In general recent players turn pundits are a waste of space as they’re not going to criticise their teammates

He's a bad combination of a halting speaker who also has nothing to say, and far too much loyalty to the team.
Still preferable to listening to Borthwick, mind

Two dumb penalties by England back rows and a poor kick from Sleightholme the highlights for England so far

And Japan have missed touch, looked toothless in attack, misjudged Sleightholme’s kick and missed the pen. Cracker for the neutral

I have no expectations and can watch with a beer and a smile.

Slade so far with a piss poor carry that nearly lost us the ball and then the usual lost in no man's land stuff in defense just there

Massive overlap, so JVP labours to get the ball to Slade, who kicks it. Great stuff.

To interrupt our gloomy circle jerk, assuming that is judged backwards that’s a really nice try

Lovely try, but I think that was forward from Smith

I’m looking forward to a good old fashioned Itoje whooping and hollering when winning a penalty while leading by 35 points.

It's not going to happen, but an awful feeling wanting a Jones team to win

Save it for when they have a decent team. We put 50 on this lot in Japan over the summer

Haha, Kay claiming that we're so used to just chasing kicks we can't time the backs moves properly

Never any clear separation but I'm aware it's not as simple as that any more. Definitely worth a closer look

What the fuck is the point in Slade? Utterly shit, purposeless pass.

Austin being a prick about people on social media complaining about Curry's selection given his concussions.

Very nice finish from Freeman, still had a lot to do and big lads aren't always the most acrobatic in those situations.

As much as I think JvP is dreadful, I don't think that's a knock on. Anyway we've had the rub of the green before now.

Mauling a shite tier 2 team to death might secure a win, but I'm not sure how useful it is.

Japan showing up our lack of invention in attack and how wobbly the defence is.

Fabulous footwork by Lawrence, some good decisions by forwards, then a great finish by Sleightholme. Lovely.
