It has been closed since April, you can’t reach it by car, and the nearest airport is a two-day hike away – but the world's remotest Irish bar is optimistic business will pick up soon.
The Irish Pub in Namche Bazar, Nepal, is 3,450m above sea level, en route to Mount Everest.
It has been shut since 10 April, after the pandemic forced Nepal's government to close the mountains to climbers.
Yet owner Dawa Sherpa inisists that his bar will thrive beyond coronavirus.

That airport landing footage is more interesting than some unauthentic pub tbf - wish them luck though as it sounds a decent enterprise.
Imagine being the porter carrying those snooker table slates though !

Worst Irish pub I ever went to, was in Tunisia - their only draft was stale John smiths bitter, and apart from a couple of ye olde worlde ceramic jugs on the wall and a bit of Gaelic script on the walls , wasn’t Irish. They had bottled Guinness in the fridge though.

I spent St Patricks day 2019 in an Irish pub in Hoi An, Vietnam. Only tins of Guinness but a decent beer selection and good atmosphere

Went to O'neils in Cardiff a few years ago , was expensive as holy fuck and the food and decor was worse than the weatherspoons across the road.

You know where you are with a spoons.
You know where you are "with a spoons".
People are paid millions to come out with this shit.

Here is my Nepalese Irish Pub story...was in Kathmandu, and went in and asked for Guinness. Sorry, we do not have any.

Then saw on the menu, a Guinness Burger...and asked how...he just smiled, and said don't ask so many questions :)

Irish pub in Essen where I watched the RWC 2011 final is called Fritzpatricks. Very apt.

Wetherspoons is more Irish than O'Neills, a uk owned Bass / Mitchell & Butler chain.
Reason, Tim Martin actually once lived on the island.

So as you see, neither very Irish.

They aint irish pubs. But fair play on us dominating the world in our own way.
Agree about O neills above. About as irish as saint paddy himself.
