Southbridge confirmed that Dan Carter has made himself available for Saturday’s fixture against West Melton.
Damn...Schalk Britz has been so inspirational to Toppies all over the world.

You'd played more games than the Crusaders. It's not a hard concept to grasp. We were actually ahead if you divide points accrued by the number of games played.

I doubt we will ever go back to 55 pages for a Sharks vs Saders match thread like the old days...With a year still of lockdown its just easier to have all the rugby kak on one thread...but if you feel that a dedicated Stormers thread may gain some traction go for it...from experience not

Been watching Hempies du Toit on Kyknet interviewed by Theuns Stofbergs daughter. He described himself as wild in his playing days and would ride the likes of Kitshoff and Beast like a Hardley Davidson.

We will have to be bored to death with the Crusaders poesklapping all the NZ teams and the Aussies playing shut but competitive rugby.

Don't even know how long that will last with the plague about. A few top players get's infected and it's back to no ruggas for everyone.

An extended rest period for our players could be a good thing in the long run. Try to control that what you can and the rest is up in the air.

I wonder how much talent will not be scouted from schoolboy rugby this year? Will they to go trough Varsity and Club ranks next year to be noticed?

Unfortunately for him, that 7 jersey belongs to PSdT. He'll have to wait until there is an opening due to injury or Rassie is ready to experiment.

It's a shame, as if he was another nationality he'd have 50 international caps by now. But our forward cupboard is very, very full.

Look like the Kiwis ditched us permanently. Will be a blessing for SA rugby, being WC champs. CC and tours is our way forward.

Has anything been said about the Kings and Cheetahs returning to the PRO14? I assume that if they don't they will play CC Rugby. And then the cvnting Sharks will poach all the talent again.

Are there any discussion about New Zealand dumping our asses out of Super rugby?

My post from PR below.
Mr. White wrote:I don't know if there is a thread dedicated to SA super rugby sides being dumped by NZ, but if not this place really has gone to hell.
New Zealand Rugby (NZR) on Friday revealed plans to cull South African teams and Argentina's Jaguares from Super Rugby next year, in what would be a ruthless shake-up for the struggling competition.
https://www.news24.com/sport/rugby/supe ... y-20200717

Apparently a full response coming this week, meanwhile...
Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but the announcement made New Zealand's position on the need to move the tournament forward without South Africa very clear.
SA Rugby CEO Jurie Roux is expected to hold a press conference next week where further information is expected, but on Friday the organisation released a short statement in response to the news out of New Zealand, acknowledging that it had been informed of New Zealand's plans
https://www.news24.com/sport/rugby/supe ... n-20200718

Bless these Kiwi's, they are finally forcing us to do what we should have done ages ago - join an easy rugby comp which we may have a chance of winning, and keep all our players/have our players play in the same comp/comps.

Kiwis are very bullish this month when their stadiums are full of local fans and are making money. However this won't last as lazy Kiwi fans stay home again.

Proposed or conformed? I think SupeRugby is dead, but the PRO14/16/18 is no better. The better teams send weakened teams to play the bottom teams. We need to play in a premier competition.
