Several gunmen apparently.
6 different locations, being called a terrorist attack.
1 confirmed dead, sounds like more

VIENNA (Reuters) - At least one person was killed and several wounded in central Vienna in exchanges of gunfire late on Monday, in what the Austrian interior minister said was believed to be a terrorist attack near the central synagogue.

Macron.
French president Emmanuel Macron wrote on Twitter that Europe must not "give up" in the face of attacks.
"We the French people share the shock and grief of the Austrian people, struck this evening by an attack in the heart of their capital, Vienna. After France, a friend of ours is attacked. This is our Europe. Our enemies must know who they are dealing with," he said.

Absolutely disgusting video on twitter of one attacker firing into somebody lying on the ground injured. Based on appearance, looks more like Muslims than white supremacists.

I have a friend who lives in Vienna. Some of the shooting was on his street, but he didn’t realise what was happening until a friend phoned him (he lives on the 6th floor).
I had seen the the reported shootings looked to be near where he lives, so was very relieved to hear he is safe.
