I think that's how the rules of the comp have been set up i.e. no show = 28, BP loss although there is some area for doubt in "the team primarily the cause for the cancellation".

Of course, they've done this because the comp descends into potential farce if you have Pool A v Pool B by final pool rankings and there are a load of no contests but you can bet this would be very different if something really mattered at the end of it.

Still feels disrespectful to Fiji who, let's not forget, won in Paris last time out!

According to the link Italy have already been awarded with a 28-0 win, but I haven't seen that anywhere else so can't confirm if that's true

The problem is that if they give them 3 0-0 draws then they'd finish above Italy without playing a single match. I know we're bad but I think that would be a bit harsh also....
