Barnes! I thought he'd retired from internationals?

Happy to see him in charge.

The old turn it off and on again fixed it.

Why in heaven's name are France wearing blue shorts, thus ruining an otherwise decent kit?

If we keep giving away these idiotic penalties it’s going to be a very long afternoon

Barnes allows about 3 or 4 defensive offsides in a row for France before eventually pinging them

Lucky for this penalty for a second shot at posts, had no-one there to clear Servat. Ball protecting is very panicked

Drop goal. Very appropriate given today's date.

Barnes allowing lot of time before declaring a maul.

And that was a ridiculous penalty against Brown, nowhere near the ball.

That's twice Cummings has been in a weak blocker position at kick-off, risking pen and not being in a supporting position for the catcher, whom is probably getting vision obscured by Cummings as well.

That said when he is in front he definitely should not be the first arriving support player, not sure why they are being so slow getting to the rucks.

France's fetching options are awesome

If Gray didn't go down like a Jenga stack at the first contact they would have more time.

At some point soon he needs to improve. Been at the same level since he's been 19.

Thought it was Fagerson that collected, but I don't agree that him being stronger in contact would excuse the poor positioning and slow support from the other players? If that is what is being suggested.

I think there was ample time for support to get in his shoulder, it was a slow landing poor.

Team has recovered well to be level at this stage
