I'm hosting a Music Bingo night and need some more tracks. What are some decent Christmas tunes?

Thinking my categories will be: Religious/Traditional, Big Band, Modern Pop, Comedy, and - of course - Ska/Punk.

Cheers for any suggestions!

Yes, only pre-teens listen to bands with a deliberate gimmick; basing a song on a Christmas-themed horror movie in this case. I must tell every grown adult I've ever seen wearing a Misfits shirt, gone to a Rob Zombie show or listened to any number of death metal bands with their purposefully cartoonish gore and violence references. :eh:

That shite is nothing like the Misfits, wash your nu-metal mouth out. I wasn’t referencing the theme.

Do you actually think that was nu-metal? It's pretty bog-standard metalcore with a couple of deathcore flourishes. Sonically they're poles apart and up until the last couple of years (which seem to have inexplicably seen a few nu- revival bands spring up), no one but the originators like Korn have really peddled that sound in well over a decade. I know things move slow down south sometimes, but really?

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about!

nu-metal = cringily titled, simplistic form of alt. metal that often incorporate hip hop and rap elements. Roughly spanned mid-90s to very early 00's. Think Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park.
metalcore = fusion of metal and hardcore, been around since the 80s in various forms. A new wave of it inspired largely by Scandinavian melodic death metal, principally At The Gates, emerged in the early - mid 2000s as nu-metal died away. Think Killswitch Engage, Unearth, As I Lay Dying. A few sonic variations over the last 15 years, but has yet to really die off in the way that some genres do after a period of relative popularity.
deathcore = fusion of death metal and hardcore, kind of a late 00's experiment as newer metalcore bands tried to become heavier than what came before them without going fully over to death metal proper. Probably even less point naming names with this one...

Did that help?

I know that Nu-Metal would push some buttons. I don't really care for sub genre drill downs, but can happily attest that metalcore is as shite as nu-metal.
