Re: President Biden and US politics catchall

Multiple Fox News talking heads sympathizing with Harris, “oh poor girl had no chance, Biden is so unpopular…”

Even places like New Jersey are close. Trump looks like he’s going to win the popular vote

I said in *the other place* that New Jersey was the most astonishing and telling result of the evening (even though Harris will obviously take it). From a 16-point victory in 2020 to a <5-point lead ...

Happy to help.

My prediction is Trump sweeping the swing states plus taking New Hampshire. That would be 316-222. And, as for the popular vote, sure, give that to Trump too. Why not.

These polls are all over the place, I’ve seen some suggesting Trump ahead in New Hampshire etc. How reliable they are is anyone’s guess, but it certainly rolls the wicket for him claiming the election was stolen unless he wins. Dangerous times ahead

I’d still be a bit surprised if Trump carries on.

He has absolutely no ideology to spur him on, it’s just a pure play for power. So when he calms down and realises he came close to being killed which would stop him playing golf and shagging porn stars he may well just pack it in

@mat

Yep, most of what we're served up these days is dull as ditchwater coated in water breaks and Sweet Caroline. There's still the odd thriller, but it feels like they're becoming fewer and farther apart by the year. On a weekly basis, I find the NFL much more entertaining tbh. I used to hate ...

Open to correction here, but the way I understand it, Buddhism is more analogous to what we’d typically consider a philosophy, rather than a theological belief system that effectively requires one to accept certain metaphysical assertions (like the Abrahamic religions).

I think.

I actually agree with this. Tier 2 nations competing against closely matched countries, improving together is better for them than getting smashed by the upper eschelons of tier 1.

There's no way the Pumas turning over Wales is a huge upset. Argentina almost always have ropey/inconsistent form, but are more than capable of turning it on and taking out someone decent and this Wales side is pretty ordinary.

You’re right - most rugby fans here just watch the 6N. I’m the same with golf, I watch the majors and the Ryder Cup and switch off to it otherwise. There isn’t a format change that would alter that, that’s just the way it is.
