Partly an age thing I think. I've fallen out of love with pro sports. It is too analytical, clinical and cynical these days. Also the availability of high quality replays doesn't help the refs who probably get more correct than ever before, which means more scrutiny on the mistakes they do make ...

Some of the Cov City fans were consistently knobbish when it came to anything Wasps throughout our time up there, but they were particularly unbearable when everything was going down earlier in the season.

Red cards for high tackles are there in part to make players change their behaviour so that there is less risk of head shots.

Accidental head contact is always going to be part of the game.

In the old days it was easy to identify the intelligent players, they were the ones who flew through their Land Economy courses at Oxford.

Agree with the above though, we don't seem to produce many thinking players...as far as I can tell from their occasional utterances, anyway.

I can take kicking as a tactical choice generally but doing it in the oppo 22 unless there's absolutely nothing else on is crazy. It's like they're constantly trying to recreate that match against France a few years ago
