Re: Super Rugby 2021 - ITS AUNZ!

I only really watched the highlights, so didn’t fully clock. But how did the young fly half get on? Is he 19?

Yep turns 20 this month I think. Had a great debut - the Canes hardly used him at first receiver tbh but he made a few timely injections into the game. His first touch was brilliant ...

Re: Super Rugby 2021 - ITS AUNZ!

Ardie to captain the Canes this year. Love to see it. Expect to see Aumua get more game time this year since Coles isn't captaining. The article also mentioned Coles hinted at this possibly being his last year in top rugby in NZ

BIG yes. He’s still deciding whether to plays Sevens next year or what should be a guaranteed starting spot on the wing with the Hurricanes. The Canes need to sign him long term ASAP

Re: Tri Nations: All Blacks vs Pumas: MATCH THREAD: Sat 14th Nov

I disagree, better to test new players against a decent squad rather than an anticipated walkover. I think Foster always intended to return to close-to-full strength for Argentina to continue developing the A team and forming combinations.

The best way to introduce new players is to ...

Re: FOSTER OUT

Has AC commented on Akira's performance yet? Hard to judge off the short time but I thought he was the best loose forward while he was out there.

Akira Ioane didn't stink, but I don't think he was as dominant as some North Island based posters are making out in his 29 mins on the field. I ...

Otere Black is a nice guy but he doesn't have an attacking bone in his body. Not gonna be an All Black. Are there any young guys coming through? Hurricanes cupboard is bare.

Back to the 9's has anyone seen much of Xavier Roe? An article on Stuff mentioned him as the long term replacement for Aaron ...

Re: FOSTER OUT

If the goal is to blood new players why tf do so many at the same time!? I don't think Laumape was that bad - especially with how shit TJ and Beauden were inside him. He didn't have a great game but at least 3 other backs were way worse)

Gutted for Will Jordan - hope we get to see him against ...

Re: Bledisloe III: Wallabies vs All Blacks: MATCH THREAD: Sydney 31st Oct

I’m a big Laumape fan (took me the first season with the Canes before I got board) so probably not gonna convince anyone but he was really good against the Lions - totally chucked in the deep end too.
I have always felt he hasn’t been given a real chance at test level despite scoring more tries at ...

So it seems the All Blacks won't be taken a 45 man squad now that South Efrica aren't coming. Ardie Savea, Sevu Reece and Nepo Laulala might be late arrivals due to babies being imminent at home.

I hope to see Ngani Laumape make the trip and give another style/option at 2nd five.

Ideally Laumape would keep developing his distribution game and get a kicking game going

Anybody know if the Hurricanes have Rayasi on contract again next year?
He could also be with the Olympic7’s and skip 15’s
Either way I’d love to have him signed to a multi year contract

There are a few things wrong with this All Blacks side. Captain Sam Cane playing 7 is not one of them.

It most certainly is. If you wanted a genuine, in form 7 in the AB you would have Ardie Savea, Lachlan Boshier and that bloke Dillon Hunt in there before Sam Cane. Sam Cane has had one ...
