It was brute force at full speed from Lumpy. The way the game needs to be played under these rules. The Blues couldn't shut him down and they didn't have anything like a similar threat themselves.

The nerdish public sector bureaucrats probably saw it on NFL/MLB/NHL and decided it was cool to boo someone who has left a home town team to play somewhere else.
