We can go back to eating pangolin, but lay off the bats

At least according to this study. I was firmly a proponent of the intermediate host theory, and that host being the pangolin. Seems like it is only a matter of time before the bats are going to give us SARS COV 3

Others say, from bats and re-engineered in a lab in Wuhan

The ones who think it was "re engineered" are loons or have an agenda, or are both.

Definitely a lab job. The real question is over whether or not it was released deliberately to damage President Trump's re-election bid.

Except for the giant pangolin, all other types of pangolin meat in South America are considered to be a tasty delicacy. The meat is rubbed with salt, sprinkled with pepper and other spices and roasted in the shell on the coals.

Gourmets say that pangolin meat is tender and white, like that of a chicken, and its fat resembles the fat of calf kidneys.

They knew he would screw up the response?

I wonder why they thought that...

PS. We know 99.9999% not a lab job in the engineering sense. Possibly in the accidental leak sense though is possible... but if deliberate why start by inflicting it on your own population first?

If elephants, bears and rhino are to survive, they'd better get their own human transmittable diseases sharpish.

To go off at a tangent, a second Trump term would have caused even more disruption and conflict in the US so I’d guess the Chinese wouldn’t be much bothered either way.

Chances of escape from a lab is "extremely unlikely" according to the WHO. Chances of it being "re-engineered in a lab" is close to zero and one for the loons.
