I suspect he will go meekly in the end but his supporters may (will almost definitely) do something stupid.
And sadly he will let them...............he doesn't give a shit.sorCrer wrote: Wed Jul 07, 2021 4:30 pm

Think they catch a lot of covid positives there after the weekend. Not a single maskChilli wrote: Wed Jul 07, 2021 4:47 pmAnd sadly he will let them...............he doesn't give a shit.

I tuned in just before the Sharks/Lions game and the reporters outside Nkandla were saying that it was just them on the scene, no police and no supporters.
Since then, it appears that Edward Zuma has been phoning around to drum up support and supporters are starting to arrive.
I saw some Twatter users posting pictures of themselves with AK 47s. One hopes this was just foolhardy bravado.
It could get nasty, though.

Good news indeed.
No violence, as far as I am aware.
No idea why the Ambulance was there, though. Possibly because Zuma suggested that he wasn't well enough to go to jail and would go to hospital instead? in the end it appears that he left Nkandla in his motorcade.

Riots are in full swing in Nottingham Road.Chilli wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 6:39 am It is time for our government to put a stop to this lawlessness.
Our workers have left their houses and taken refuge in the bush.
Christ, these guys have fuck-all and the cunts are burning and looting their homes.
Fuck Zuma. And fuck all the twitter videos of Zuma's kids in their designer gear demanding that the riots escalate.
Ah, right. I didn't realise that they'd moved.
Better hope that the riots don't spread down there, then.

I'm hearing that the cops have shot and killed around 30 looters at the Springfield Makro in Durban.OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 9:28 am Gelukkig val die water hard hier. Hoop hulle kak van die koue.
Not sure how true it is.
Local Framers are out with guns here in Nottingham Road...
Looking extremely bleak there, FiL caught up in it as their office is next to a Spar that got looted and they had to evacuate.
They live across the road from galleria and can hear the shots - local security and anyone with a gun have teamed up until the army get there. Feels very odd to me to see on media shops that I’ve been to get looted and burned.

No, I’m mostly basing it off the WhatsApp call my wife had in tears with her calm dad, I could hear the crack crack of gunfire in the background.
Luckily they evacuated the office now so are home safe, at the moment the looting seems aimed at shops not homes.
Am in a parallel universe this morning with this shit going on, and the rest of the world wibbling on about rashford choking and racist abuse and yob England fans

that was a snide remark aimed at rinkals, but unnecessary considering the circumstances, so I deleted it. Seems a lot of these protests are more a response to over a decade of ANC mismanagement than pro zumaYeeb wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 11:23 amNo, I’m mostly basing it off the WhatsApp call my wife had in tears with her calm dad, I could hear the crack crack of gunfire in the background.

That's my take on it too. These people have nothing to lose and a lot to be angry about, regardless about Zuma. It's been brewing for many years.Calculon wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 11:49 am Seems a lot of these protests are more a response to over a decade of ANC mismanagement than pro zuma

Who knows who is actually pulling the strings here , could be Cyril doing a Chancellor Palpatine and legally getting army on the streets.
What is true though, is that there are a lot of easily led stupid people there who protest they want free stuff and have no jobs, and don’t realise that burning down malls will destroy the jobs and tax revenue that could actually help them.
No matter the country, if someone is willing to lot and burn and shoot at the cops and owners, then I don’t have a problem with them getting shot at in return.

It was a voice message from someone on my Hockey Whatsapp group.
They will need to do something drastic fast. Where will all the fat cats shop if everything is burned to the ground?OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 12:16 pmYep and that's exactly where our problem is. Springboks, Stormers and WP supporter.
8 chinooks have landed in Durban north so I’m told, hopefully some are heading down the coast .
BiL was trapped near Transkai bridge , luckily his sister in law runs a helicopter firm out of Virginia and sent a chopper to go pick him up !
He is basically BA Baracus with flying so doubt he’s enjoying life right now.
