I initially read your post as 36million rather than 36m long.

I hope the crews are all rested; because I've a feeling a lot of them will be spending the night rebuilding cars after it.

Pole position will be awarded to the winner of the sprint race rather than the driver who set the fastest lap to qualify for the sprint race.

Don't agree with that.

Spark Sport NZ yesterday introduced free subscription to F1TV Pro for their subscribers. An exciting development. I thought access to TV Pro would be years off and require a ceasing of current broadcast rights.

Quality lap from Hamilton - pity we didn't get a close-up of Horner and Marko's reaction.

It's only the quali for the sprint race tho. Long way to go.

Great to have two Race starts in one weekend. Potential for lots of carnage.

Hamilton gets the pole, then stuffs up with his main rival next to him. If your car is not quite up there, you need to be perfect.

The backmarkers on the grid were disgraceful. They were so slow to the grid. They should be penalised of they're not keeping up.

Verstappen and Hamilton touch, Verstappen goes into the wall and he’s out.

Good start - actual racing

Edit e before posting - nevermind, they've taken each other out. Verstappen in the wall

Another edit: Hamilton at fault - will he get the rightful penalty?

Not sure Hamilton was at fault. Looked to be more than a cars width on the outside.

Right rear tyre on Max’s car bounced off the halo twice. Naughty and lucky.

Listen to the professionals - Verstappen left Hamilton enough space on the inside.

Or you can believe the radio messages from Hamilton.

LeClerc’s camera view shows Verstappen moving twice before Lewis hits him. I thought Lewis was in the wrong until that last view.

Hamilton was never in front.

If it was Grosjean; he'd be penalized ...

Don’t know which channel folk are watching this on but C4 pretty emphatic it was Hamilton’s fault

The state of that crashed car

Glad Max walked away. Unsteady, but seemingly okay.

My post was before Button saying it was Hamiltons fault and Karun C saying racing incident.

The fact the stewards haven't handed out a penalty already suggests it is a close call either way.

Wouldn't be the worst thing for the race if Hamilton gets penalised.

Both Merc and Red Bull are acting like bitches on the radio. Michael Massey handling the whining pretty well.

After Charun(sp?) went frame by frame, & showed that Max gave him room, & had the corner

Really no use asking Aston's boss his opinion, he is Toto's puppet.

Regardless of blame it is better for the race if Hamilton gets a penalty.

Think the Ferarri and McLarens could probably push Bottas.

Big D: I'm watching on Channel 4, hence my comment on the professionals.

Sounds like Sky are trying to stay 'neutral' to not blame the Brit.

Chandoc said that. Damon Hill said 100% Lewis to blame.
