What a horror show from the Boks. So much to unpack, I don't think any of our players can score more than 5/10 for their performances.

The main worries for me was the lack of leadership when Siya and Duane left the field. We were rudderless and you could tell by our bodylanguage. The ref got quite a few wrongs calls in the 2nd half and we had nobody to challenge him.

Shocker from Pollard. If Elton played like that, he'd be crucified.

With regards to our gameplan, if plan A doesn't work, what is plan B?

Pollard wasn't great. Faf was poor.

I can only hope that like the RWC and Lions series, in which we lost our first games, that we'll bounce back from this first loss on tour.

yeah, good point. Pollard, whose confidence was already shot, then had the burden of captaincy

This loss will undoubtedly make the Boks a much more dangerous opponent. Expecting a very different result next week.

Willemse missed the try conversion which would at least have made a draw more likely. But I think Pollard missed 2?

Time for Fassi at 15 and Morne on the bench

Ja. I hope they come out a bit angrier than what we saw today.

Willemse did the conversion, yeah. Easy kick, slightly left of the posts hammered way to the right. Distance wasn't the problem...

It's those final kicks that matter. Look at Cooper. Nailed it under pressure and distance.

I worried when we had no locks or an established goal kicker on the bench

I tend to agree here. I would have loved to see Fassi in place of Nkosi. We need at least some xfactor.

Get Frans Steyn back on the bench instead of Willemse, to keep the 6-2 split

Willemse at least made a great cover tackle after his missed shot at goal, preventing a certain try. So made up for it.
And yeah, the no lock bench worries me every time. During the RWC we had 3 locks starting and 2 on the bench...

Cooper was oustanding, what a comeback!

A 6 day turnaround for the next match.

Brutal.

These guys are going to be wrecked by the final weekend.

4 games in 21 days.

think Pollard missed three, 2 pens and 1 conversion. Willemse missed 1 conversion. So 10 point left on the field. Frustrating!

I am baffled that they refuse to use JLDP.....and persist with Kwagga. He is a lock option. It's like their mind is made up and won't budget. Sorry but I have no faith in Willemse kicking for posts. It's a specialist position. Anyone can tackle.

JLdP would be THE player to have on the bench, covers 4 to 8. And I agree, no way should Willemse be given the backup kicking duty

If NZ beat Arg again with a BP next week, that makes 20 points and with a formidable for and against.

If that happens then the boks on 10, will need to win every game.

Still all in your hands. Just it’s known what you need to do, you need to win all matches, no BP needed.

But a lot easier if Arg rolls us next week(as they did last year)

Is there a link to the last scrum which the Saffers are questioning (and soon be up in arms about), I managed to miss it.

Assume there will be footage with yellow highlight rings posted up by now?

Last scrum was fine. Boks were rightly penalised.

However the previous two the Wobs were pushed back & up and ref just reset both. No consistency.

Actually I am quite happy the boks didnt manage to again grind a match out to win it narrowly. We have to start to take control of games now, apply and maintain pressure on the opposition and stamp down our mark. It really was a poor performance. We should be better than that. Leadership, game plan and excecution all need work. Selections also not reasonable. Next week needs to be much better.

First of all, Well Done Australia! You certainly had the plan to beat the Boks.

If the Boks want to play the power game then they actually have to play the fucking power game. We were so fucking nice, we could have been Canadians.

There was none of the brutality that fucked the Poms up. The Boks just played nice rugby, and played it at a very mediocre level.

Just not good enough. 👎

And you need the players for the power game. We didnt have fresh locks on the bench, not even one. Instead, three rather short loose forwards. We need the big guys to come on instead if we want to play that game. RG Snyman, JLdP, DdP, NJvR, Marcell Coetzee, Elrigh Louw, we have a dozen of them. I dont get those selections. We had 5 locks during the RWC in the match 23, imo thats what has won us the trophy

I have no idea why you want to change the loose forwards? I thought all three , Kwagga included brought enough energy. We lost it with Pollard and Faf kicking and the kick chasers. We need to adopt to a more attacking phase play gameplan against the Wallabies and All Blacks.

Because we lost. To Australia. Who were destroyed by the ABs.
Now instead of getting excited about playing the ABs we now have to set oir standards lower and focus on beating Australia
