I was there about 11 years ago.

Which country have your ordered from this time?

Slick that would cost more than going to the pick up zone!!
Check how many other flights are coming in at their arrival time.Openside wrote: Thu Sep 23, 2021 2:08 pm Am picking up the family today and don’t want to arrive and then sit for ages(they charge a £ /minute) how long is it from landing to though passport control /Covid papers etc.
A couple of flights from Spain all arriving at the same time is not going to speedy.
Just been through Toulouse and very impressed at how quick they were and how little they bothered with paperwork.
Leaving the UK on the other hand

Sirs Nigerian is coming on well.
I went through Gatwick a couple of weeks ago and it was the quickest transit of an airport I have ever made.Sandstorm wrote: Thu Sep 23, 2021 7:22 pm Every UK airport is short-staffed at passport control. Expect 1 hour extra minimum.
from airbridge to car in 15 mins.
This may have been exceptional but I was very surprised as I had prepped my expectations for a long queue

Heard that whichever terminal isn’t being used a lot right now is in a horrendous state - serious rat problem in that ghost town

Does this actually affect British nationals? At LHR and LGW you go straight through the automated gates in normal times, can’t imagine staffing has a huge impact thereSandstorm wrote: Thu Sep 23, 2021 7:22 pm Every UK airport is short-staffed at passport control. Expect 1 hour extra minimum.
