Soak the bog roll in petrol and lob it at everyone in the queue.

Meh, Petrol panic buying's not an issue for me. We just do the odd run around town or school run these days. A tank lasts us more than a month.

Why are they idiots?
Is there a shortage of essential stuff?
Yes.
So are we labelling them idiots, to dissuade people, so you can get there first?

The issue with panic buying is that once somebody starts it, the rational response if you actually need the commodity in question is to join in.
I spent almost 8 weeks having to borrow bog paper from people last year because my initial response was 'no, I'm not going to do anything that stupid'

Doesn't seem to be significant fuel shortages in the midlands, still went out and filled the cars up in a rather sad act of civil disobedience

In hindsight the writing was on the wall for our nation when police phone lines were rendered inoperable when KFC ran out of chicken

They are idiots because there is NOT a shortage, there are some supply issues but if everyone buys as they normally do there is enough for everyone...ergo idiotsLine6 HXFX wrote: Fri Sep 24, 2021 4:50 pm Why are they idiots?

My dear wife went food shopping about 9.00 this morning, they were queueing out of the supermarket petrol station onto the access roundabout (200 or so metres and then onto the forecourt queues). When she left after the shop at about 10.45 they'd closed the pumps.

FFS. Mrs has just come back from town and announced that she's going to go out and get petrol. Neighbour has accosted her outside talking about how you wouldn't be able to get any by the end of the week, so better do it now...
Thankfully I talked her round.

The great, British public, innit? F**kwits blocked the dual carriageway on my way home yesterday in their panic buying surge to reach any petrol station.

Attending my dad's 91st birthday tomorrow.
Or I think I am. My car is about 1/3 full. Not sure that will get me there and back. Borrowing fuel is more troublesome than borrowing TP.
FFS.

I replaced the brake pads in my bike this afternoon and need to give it a run to bed them in. 2+ mile queue for a small village petrol station to fill up. Feck that. Utter waste of time. Will give it a couple of days until the morons finish up filling up empty water bottles.
