Thought we may as well have a thread to make sure it doesn't get lost.

Saturday 9th October - Edinburgh V Stormers - KO 5.15pm

Shall we say 3.30pm meet at a beer tent by the ERS?

IN so far:

Jock
Slick
HKJC
Crash669
Inactionman - not listening to your nonsense, see you there
Biffer - for a much needed Scottish accent to make Jock more comfortable

Any more?

I'm guessing this might be quite a popular game so for those without season tickets might be worth thinking about that soon

All still on?

Myself, HKJC and crash_69 still going.

Biffer, could you suggest a good place to meet before the game? Think we are planning to get there for 3.30pm

Not Biffer, but what's The Diggers like these days? It's only a 20 minute walk or so to Murrayfield from there.

Haven't been there fir a very, very long time but used to love it there.

I was thinking more in the stadium to be honest - are you jumping on a train?

I kept quite about it because there was every chance the plans would come to nought, and so it is, I won't be there this time unfortunately.

I was tempted, but I'll be at Port Edgar teaching a bunch of cadets not to drown (hopefully). Looking forward to getting to the ERS at some point soon though. Enjoy the pint!

As I live a two hour drive away I shall be leaving home circa 2:30 and picking my son up along the way. Friends staying so can't make a day of it.

I am a bit confused about who I have met before with all the name change shenanigans. Blackmac definitely, Crash69 perhaps.

Would love to make it but can't get out of childcare I'm afraid - but will be up for any such shenanigans in new year.

Enjoy.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

Could anyone that has been to the new stadium give an idea of where would be good to meet - outside a beer tent seems like a good idea, but is there more than one?

You've either got the Thistle Suite if you fancy somewhere inside but your best bet is the beer tent behind the Murrayfield Stand. Just make sure you go to the one on the right hand side (with your back to Murrayfield) as that does pints, the other is a bottle bar

Brilliant, thank you very much!

OK, so anyone that wants to meet, from 3.30pm, standing outside the right hand side of the right hand beer tent (with the big stadium behind you) at the back of the Murrayfield Stand.

I'm tall and devastatingly handsome, HKJC is smaller and troll like, Crash is a mouthy northerner.

See you there.

Aah the Black Bull. 1998-2000 I spent a lot of time with a certain young Edinburgh U law student in those hallowed halls. Unfortunately she was a Cheltenham Ladies College girl and I was too colonial/plebeian for her. Globus style memoir.
