Oh. I'm aware of that. Blackadder: "Don't gloat. It's a sign of insecurity". But

It was a video of Jake giving the world his expert views on rugby.

It seems a bit odd that PR think it's a good idea to have people register in order to view full articles - it's not like they're some mainstream popular site. There must be loads of people like me who close the page as soon as they see that shite.

Absolutely - I have never registered once and I am not about to start now. Hell, I even click off pages that demand I close my ABP app

According to the PR News Desk, Jerome Kaino retired from test footy in 2015. Who knew?

You can just close the registration popup. No need to signup.

I use a browser app called Brave. I never see an ad on websites any more. Cuts everything out.

I can't see any way to close the reg thing. How are you doing it?

No, you can't close it. Not after a few days anyway. They archive all articles after then so you can't view without registering. A bit tedious for me since it's the easiest site to get the Prem team lists as a summary for the FR.

It's not an advert. It's a pop up trying to force you to sign up. I've not been shown by a friend a way around it and my friend even defeated the Daily Torygraph's one. Mind you, the latter was worth the effort.

NoScript might work but everything on PR used to break if you blocked js.

Anyway, this is part of what you were missing

I tried straight after JM said that (well and before) but it was already in archive

He must have already read it day(s) before it hit archive. Before the live match in fact.

Can still see article on Apple news. Only probably works on iPhone. Though doesn’t have the vid.

https://apple.news/AnOExt-ogQUG6ed-RyZdVRA

Though it’s more than the webpage where can only see first bit of text, and the comments of an excited Jamie about seeing the match live.

Though perhaps Apple news might be useful for you Torq for team sheets. Just go to Apple news and search the pr headline.

Actually there is a simple way.

Open the page in incognito mode. Then you can close the you’re in extra time message.

Use a data/content scraper, quite a few free ones out there.

Thanks for the heads up. Does it work on non Apple devices? The very worst for team news is NZ. I still find it hard to comprehend how a rugby mad nation has such sh*t websites. The team/club stuff is miserable. There are Federale 3 sides with better ones than some of the NPC teams.

No, only works on iPhone. Else I think it just forwards you to original site.

But my second tip is that for PR you just need to visit it in incognito mode, and you’ll be able to see the article.

Likewise, I've been using it for months and it's a great little browser. Bye bye AdBlock Plus.

I just tried again and clicking the 'x' on the popup works fine. I don't know how many PR articles you people are reading, but it's too many.

You are correct. I wonder if they changed the behaviour? I'm sure this wasn't working for older articles a few weeks ago.

Here's a different link
https://www.planetrugby.com/rob-baxter- ... don-irish/

and clearly archived with no capacity to close pop up. Maybe only Jake's articles are freely open for us to all enjoy in perpetuity. Which is nice.
