Looking a very tough ask for NZ now.

I know it's a day 5 wicket, but still - half the deliveries are barely bouncing at all, jokeshop stuff.

India burn their last review on an LBW that was missing down leg.

2 overs left, checking the light again. DRAMA

Great work by NZ. Every batsman looked like they knew what they were doing, what the plan was, and how to execute it. Very calm approach to the whole thing.

So there's a chance they'll come back out, but it looks like a draw.

edit: Yep, they're shaking hands. All done. Well done Kiwis.

wtf!? another over being contemplated... no sanity prevails. Game draw. Superb rear guard action from the last 2 batsmen.

Great rearguard action by the BCs. Never in doubt.

The Great Escape. Good test match. So much better than the T20 nonsense.

Yes, well done Kiwis.

I can't help but feel that a day and a bit should have been ample on a 5th day Indian pitch to take ten wickets, especially after the first one had been given erroneously.

Pleased to have been proved wrong.

Good news to wake up to. About to watch the last session but glad I don't have the drama to live through

I made the error in questioning the use of home umpires in the test on twatter - especially when some of the calls against the NZ batters were - generous to India.

Not claiming that the umpires were biased - but that the mere fact that the umpires were Indian in an Indian home test - well....it creates a problem.

The comments I received from numerous Indian posters were......vicious!!

Happy we drew - take that as a moral victory.

To be fair it was a sporting declaration. Sometimes it backfires with a Ben Stokes type innings. I thought with the start the Black Caps had we might see an exciting chase. No one got going against that tight bowling though.

That's why test cricket between evenly matched teams is so cool though. A draw can still be a fascinating and satisfying result.

The second test in Mumbai is due to kick off in about half an hour, but the toss has been delayed due to damp ground conditions after 2 days of heavy rain.

The umpires will inspect the pitch again in an hour, so it looks like most of the first session will be lost.

Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja are all out injured.

India has won the toss and will bat, again. Which means they can't lose, again.

There must be a slight-of-hand going on, surely?

It's statistically improbable that India consistently wins the toss on home games.

F**k the toss as a way of handing advantage to one team.

Like the home team needs any more advantage over a visiting side.

Jesus I hope the BC's pull off a massive win.

Oh ffs. Williamson never ever wins the bloody toss.

Oh, it wasn’t Williamson. Oh balls he’s out.

This is getting worse ….

tight call with Koli, looks like bat and pad at the same time, does that mean it's Umps call (out)?

Koli gone!

80/3 , Ajaz with all 3 is quick time now.

Someone is in the 3rd Umpires ear. He gave it out before doing ball tracking (which was out too).

Tough but fair decision, no clear evidence to show he hit it first.

Great comeback approaching Tea. Tough call on Kohli, looked like bat first to me but very close.

Yeah, only seen it on Twitter but it seems fairly obviously bat first.
