Ulster lost both hookers against Ospreys, reporter in the S Times says that they could have gone uncontested because the sub prop that ended up as hooker was "unfit to hook".
Is that right? I get it that he wouldn't be technically competent but there's no great safety issue in a prop going to hooker surely. Or is there? Idle curiosity.

There is - there's quite different technical demands and with both arms around your props it's very easy to get broken if you don't know what you're doing.
